Beresford Lane
Beresford Lane
Minor country lane linking Plumpton Crossways with Chailey Common. During the Second World War the line was closed to traffic due to the construction of Chailey Advanced Landing Ground, a temporary airfield, that operated between 1942-44 when it was closed. The two runways crossed at point just beyond the photographer.
