near to Staveley, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Staveley Nature Reserve
The reserve is dominated by the large area of water and reedbeds, but there is also wet meadowland and some areas of peat. The lagoons are essentially man made, but are slowly returning to a state that existed some 250 years ago before Staveley Carrs were drained for agriculture.
