Bedd John Williams - The grave of John Williams
The grave of Captain John Williams of Pwlldefaid in the churchyard of St Hywyn's church.
Although the details of his death are recorded, as expected, in Welsh, the verse is in English.
"The roaring wind and raging seas
Have tossed me to and fro,
In spite of both, by God's decree
I harbour here below,
When safe at anchor I do lay
With many of our fleet,
Yet once again I must set sail
Our saviour Christ to meet."
