View along a woodland's edge
The leaves of some of the trees are turning colour and the crop of maize in the adjoining field has been harvested. It is now awaiting the plough. The path seen in the foreground is a restricted byway which links Easthill Lane with Wood's End, further to the north. The undulating ground was created during an early Pleistocene glacial stage called Bramertonian Stage.
