NY3004 : Heathery summit ridge of Lingmoor Fell

taken 8 years ago, near to Chapel Stile, Cumbria, Great Britain

Heathery summit ridge of Lingmoor Fell
Heathery summit ridge of Lingmoor Fell
The summit seen from the path leading to Side Pike.

The word ling means heather and the highest part of the summit ridge is heathery, though not much of the rest of it, at least not when approached from the Elterwater end of the ridge.

The path from Elterwater leads over the ridge and once a stile over a fence is climbed, the summit is a short walk away.
