Buckhaven Theatre, on Lawrence Street, has an interesting history. It is said to have originally been an episcopal church in St Andrews that was moved, stone-by-stone, from there to Buckhaven in 1869. During the 1980s, the church building was restored and converted into a theatre. The youth theatre group which is based here has gained national acclaim for its performances.
