Oliver's Castle and Beacon Hill, near Heddington
The trees mark the northern boundary of Oliver's Castle, an early Iron Age hillfort dated to around 500 BC. It sits on the western edge of a chalk escarpment that faces generally west. The viewpoint is just north of a bridleway that runs east to west near the southern gridline of this square. The line of the bridleway can be seen marked by the fence posts. It is all access land.
