Part of Beacon Hill access land, near Heddington
Beacon Hill is an area of access land that lies on high ground just south of the village of Heddington. Because of its steepness, the generally west-facing escarpment escaped agricultural modification so that this can be properly be regarded as unimproved chalk grassland and valuable for that reason.
