This is an entrance to the former wartime airfield RAF Banff. It was home to British, Canadian, other Commonwealth and Norwegian Strike Wing Squadrons flying Beaufighters and Mosquitoes. The Royal Canadian Air Force 404 Squadron operated from RAF Banff for Coastal Command. It is used now by Grampian Karting Club for National Kart Racing and is also being developed as a power station!
