Information board: a canal horse 100 years ago
Included for historical interest. The information boards at Old Ford Lock shows this old image of one of the horses owned by the canal company in 1910. It's resting at a lock (not sure if this one or not) and it's got a nosebag for food. The collar and harness indicate that it was used for towing the narrow boats.
