High Dam or High Loch (1¾ x 1¼ furl.) as it was known, is one of a chain of three lochs that supplied water to power both the cotton and corn mills in Eaglesham. Mid Dam, the smaller of the three lochs was located at Link
. Water was drawn-off from Picketlaw Reservoir Link
into the Linn Burn with dams and sluices to supply both the cotton and corn mills situated in the Orry.
