Drums Links: nearer the edge
Built in the early 1940s in anticipation of the German invasion this pillbox was originally on top of the dunes. Since then the tides and winds have gradually removed the sand from beneath it and it now almost at sea level. The current rate of sinking can be judged from 2 other of my photographs NJ9922 : Drum links: world war 2 pillbox and NJ9922 : Drums Links: on the edge.
