The cattle grid, on Bredon Grove, with its gates for pedestrians on the left and horse riders on the right is redundant as no commoners keep livestock on these very suburban commons any more.
The wonderful open space is enjoyed by dog walkers and horse riders.
The grass is simply mown several times a year here - though further away is only cut once per year and baled as hay.
