Bloody Point and Felixstowe Docks
Viewed from Shotley Marina entrance lock, the container vessels at Felixstowe Docks almost appear to be aground. But the low tide has exposed mud and shingle at Bloody Point, at the confluence of the Orwell and Stour rivers. Beyond the mud bank there is deep water and a further kilometre to the quay side.
