SE7089 : Bridge over Hutton Beck
near to Hutton-le-Hole, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Bridge over Hutton Beck
There are three wide, low arched bridges like this in the village.
Until the late 1960s the small streams were crossed by fords - which could be dangerous or impassable in times of flood - despite the limited volume of the stream for most of the year.
The stonework in all three is merely a facade, underneath is constructed from concrete shuttering and beams.
