NH0766 : Fisherfield approach

Fisherfield approach
The strategy for ticking the Munros in this remote area (on a solo weekend trip from Cambridge) was to cycle in as far as possible from the Heights of Kinlochewe early Saturday morning, set up a camp at Lochan Fada and walk the peaks over two days, getting back to the road Sunday afternoon and driving south far enough to make the pub in Yorkshire before driving the rest early Monday morning in time to return the hire car. I was perhaps a tad more dedicated back then ! I recall this as being the limit of the landrover track twenty years ago, though I managed to cycle a bit further, on and off the bike as the terrain dictated. With a cheap 1980's mountain bike weighing 34 lb, I think it was more off than on.
