SN0134 : A clump of honey fungus (Armillaria mellea)
near to Pontfaen, Pembrokeshire/Sir Benfro, Great Britain

A clump of honey fungus (Armillaria mellea)
Delightful to look at, good to eat, but lethal for affected trees. Here in the Gwaun valley woodland in early October honey fungus was everywhere, colonizing almost every stump and rotting branch, as well as still-living trees.
