Liberty caps
Psilocybe semilanceata growing around cowpats. It is now (since 2005) illegal to possess this hallucinogenic 'magic mushroom'in the UK.
The name derives from the resemblance of the pointed conical cap to " soft, red, conical cap with the top pulled forward, worn in antiquity by the inhabitants of Phrygia, a region of central Anatolia. In artistic representations it signifies freedom and the pursuit of liberty."
