Pub Sign, The Crown at Marnhull
Pub Sign, The Crown at Marnhull
This is the pub sign of the Crown in Marnhull. It is a Hall and Woodhouse public house selling Badger beers (as can be seen from the sign) that are brewed at their brewery in Blandford St Mary. The pub is the reputed model for the Pure Drop Inn in Thomas Hardy's novel, Tess of the D'Urbervilles.
