NX4188 : Erratic

taken 12 years ago, near to Carmaddie Brae [other Features], South Ayrshire, Great Britain

Erratic
Erratic
The undulating ridge between Tarfessock and Kirriereoch Hill is littered with erratic boulders such as this, left by retreating glaciers at the end of the last Ice Age, some of huge size. This view looks east to the Rhins of Kells range (Corserine and Carlin's Cairn).
