St Keyne's Well
St Keyne's Well
This holy well stands by a road junction south east of St Keyne village. St Keyne was the 5th century daughter of a Welsh king who lived in various parts of the west country including - supposedly - Keynsham in Somerset. One of the places she lived was at Liskeard and legend has it that she placed a spell on the well so that whoever out of a married couple drinks the water first, they will have 'mastery in their wedded life'.
