Looking across the river from close to the Isle of Man ferry landing stage. The crowds have just witnessed the flypast of naval aircraft over HMS Illustrious, and in the river one of the Mersey ferries is being escorted by a fire tug spraying water. HMS Illustrious is berthed alongside the cruise liner terminal out of sight to the right.
