Towards the pass
The old drove road, and the Roman road and the modern footpath that follow the same line, climb towards the pass. This is not the pass at Bwlch y Ddeufaen, but is about two kilometres further west and does not have a name. It is a significant junction, though, as the west-east route seen here meets a north-south road from Llanfairfechan onto the Carneddau ridge.
