Standing stones at Bwlch y Ddeufaen
The route of an old drove road, the Roman road, and subsequent trading route over the centuries. This was one of the options for the route of the A55 North Wales coast road as recently as the 1990s, but the coastal route was followed, leaving this as a quiet route over the mountains disturbed only by the three lines of pylons. The largest set carries the National Grid supply line from Wylfa on Anglesey.
There are various stories about the two main stones that can be seen here, but prosaically they probably just mark the route over the pass.
