Woodland off Old Bank, Halifax
There is quite a large area of woodland that has grown since the mid-20C. The camera is pointing uphill, so the slope is steeper than it looks. Within 100m, according to the 1850 map, the slope steepens and there was a group of buildings called Folly Hall. The name was perhaps apt, for it had disappeared by the 1890s when the next edition of the six-inch map was published.
