The Rowett Institute has a long and distinguished history of agricultural research, but in recent years it has radically changed its focus to human nutrition. The Rowett has merged with the University of Aberdeen and will move to new buildings at the main Forresterhill healthcare campus in the City. The present site is proposed for housing, see:
