National Cycle Network route 75
On the trackbed of the Greenock and Ayrshire Railway. The illegal bikes turned up at speed as I was composing the shot and I was repeatedly threatened by the barely articulate idiot in front. In a last ditch attempt to avoid assault, I pulled out my mobile - the thug and its poodle left very fast then as there are somewhat disproportionately severe penalties for using motorbikes here, your bike gets nicked by the police.
Of course there were no numberplates - they give the impression of being totally clueless, but they are not that stupid.
Unfortunately legitimate users have to put up with all sorts of crazy barriers to keep these types off the path, but they don't work.
