The River Trent near Alrewas, Staffordshire
This is looking from near the top of the weir north-west of Alrewas Lock. The weir was constructed to maintain a constant water level for the Trent and Mersey Canal, which uses the river course for a short distance north of Alrewas. This picture was taken with the sun low, in late evening, hence the golden glow to the trees.
