The pond was renovated in 1990 and is looked after by a volunteer (doing a good job). In the centre of the pond are several new duck-houses which appear to be well-used. There are numerous benches around the pond, all donated in memory of past residents.
Across the pond is the Swan, a popular inn by the village green.
