Saltworkers statue (front view), Victoria Square
Droitwich has been associated with salt since the Iron Age, and it was produced here by the Romans, and then through the centuries up to 1922, when the last Droitwich salt works closed. This cast bronze statue was made by John McKenna, and erected here in 1998. SO8963 : Saltworkers statue (rear view), Victoria Square.
