St George and the Dragon, Snowshill Manor
The carving, commissioned in the 1920s by Charles Paget Wade and a copy of a smaller original in the V&A, was returned to the manor in April 2009 after being restored. An accompanying notice explains that the conservators found that three different colour schemes had been used, and made the decision to use the most recent.
