Since 2003 when an earlier view was taken SJ8055 : Alsager Railway Station the railway through Alsager has been electrified and resignalled as part of the West Coast Route Modernisation. That not only means visible changes such as the overhead catenary and bi-directional signalling, but also more journey opportunities.
