Seen from the bridleway (about 150m higher up the hill than shown on OS maps). The slopes of Esgair Nant-y-brain fall from the left. The track traversing the hill goes to former mines at the head of the cwm, and going forward along Cwm Culant towards Abergwesyn, the track seems to disappear near Nant-y-Brain farm or Llwynderw.
