The pathway through the bracken in the foreground is the bridleway, around 150 metres higher up the valley side than shown on OS maps. Cwm Culant curves round to the right, obscured by the hillside, the V-shaped valley ahead being that eroded by Nant-y-Ddwfn. There are some old mining remains and shafts up there.
