NG9743 : Red Deer on Carn Mor
3 km from Coulags, Highland, Great Britain

Red Deer on Carn Mor
Single hind on the skyline. With all native predators removed (wolf, lynx, bear) controlling deer numbers is now left to humans. Doing nothing leads to very high populations and no regeneration of woodlands due to browsing of saplings. Therefore deer fencing and stalking is an important part of upland management.
