SH6414 : Sea wall at Arthog

taken 39 years ago, near to Arthog, Gwynedd, Great Britain

Sea wall at Arthog
Sea wall at Arthog
Taken from close to where the track to Fegla Fach crosses the Mawddach Trail at what was originally a railway level crossing. Fegla Fach in SH6315 is on the wooded eminence. The track to it curves away to the left, followed on its right by the line of the sea wall. To the right of the sea wall is the inlet of the stream from Arthog falls, and salt marsh. Sea wall looks to be largely slate waste - there are several old quarries nearby.
