The former drovers' road to Strata Florida is just visible traversing the side of Carreg y Frân, and the Dolgoch area of the Tywi Forest is on the left of the hidden Afon Tywi. The road, though tempting on maps, is not usable by standard road vehicles, 4WD being a "must". Cyclists should love it, but expect wet feet :-)
