Pont Gethin
Named after Owen Gethin Jones, the most prominent person to come from Penmachno after the Bishop Morgan who translated the Bible into Welsh. He was a poet, a local historian and also a highly successful building and civil engineering contractor. His most prominent achievement was the construction of the railway from Betws y Coed towards Blaenau Ffestiniog which includes this long viaduct that takes the railway from one side of the Lledr valley to the other.
