The Drovers' Road to Strata Florida, Powys

Rutted, rocky and potholed and with several potentially hazardous fords, this route is much (over?) used by the "off-road" fraternity, so eroded sections deteriorate rapidly at the hands of the less skilled 4WD drivers. (Other vehicles will not be able to use the road). Cyclists who don't mind a bit of rough will love it, but expect wet feet whatever the weather.
The Afon Tywi is hidden at the bottom of the slope to the left, by the Tywi Forest. Off camera to the right are the grassy slopes of Carreg y Frân.
