Byway to Strata Florida, Powys

This byway, unsurfaced and sometimes rocky, yet "open to all traffic*" is in part of part of the enormous Tywi Forest, where it links (off picture to the right) with the Lon Las Cymru cycle route . There are several fords on the byway, some of which can be dangerous, even impassable after heavy rain.

* only four wheel drive vehicles and properly equipped motor-cycles can access the route, but it is inadvisable during flood conditions. Cyclists who don't object to a bit more rough and wet feet (and hate the forest!) should also enjoy it.
