Maesnant Ford and the Afon Tywi, Powys
This grand puddle in the former cattle drovers' road is actually Maesnant crossing the track and dropping into the Afon Tywi after two weeks of rainless conditions. Despite that, some members of an "off-roaders" convoy this afternoon found trouble in crossing it. Link Link After heavy rain it is a much more daunting affair, though not "serious" as fords go. The Aon Tywi can be seen on the left. The road fords this about fifty metres ahead.
