This house was owned and lived in by Ian Anderson, flautist and vocalist with the 70's rock band Jethro Tull. He owned the vast Strathaird Estate and also ran a very successful Fish farm, employing quite a number of local people. He sold the estate in 1994 to the John Muir Trust.
