NG3550 : Jaw Boxes

taken 18 years ago, near to Blackhill, Isle of Skye, Scotland

Jaw Boxes
Jaw Boxes
Eleven jaw boxes (sinks) sitting irregularly on a moorland track above Upper Edinbane.
I have absolutely no idea........
Update October 2006 - A visitor to the site has contacted me to say that he uses them for feeding cows. They put stuff called "draff" in - it's basically spent brewery mash - mixed with shredded sugar beet pulp.
