Bridge 34 to bridge 35, Grand Union Canal (3)
Bridge 34 to bridge 35, Grand Union Canal (3)
The stretch of Grand Union Canal between bridges 34 and 35 is pleasant and wooded with Offchurch Bury Park to the north and the village of Radford Semele behind a low hill to the south.

This photo shows the canal west of bridge 34 where it is overhung by mature trees. The canal closely follows the River Leam and is cut into the hillside above the river. When the Leam swings north, the canal continues west past the embankment of the dismantled railway from Leamington to Rugby. The canal then crosses open farmland before passing under bridge 35 and entering the eastern suburbs of Leamington.

In the other direction (east from bridge 34) Radford bottom lock marks the start of the canal's climb to Napton from the valley of the rivers Leam and Avon.
