Adderley Lock No 4 south of Audlem, Shropshire
Adderley Lock No 4 south of Audlem, Shropshire
There are five locks in the flight at Adderley, altogether altering the water level by thirty-one feet ( about nine and a half metres). This is the fourth, just above Massey's Bridge (No 71), which allows the farmer easy access to fields on both sides. It is not a public way.

Note the ripples in the water on the left; a narrowboat is leaving the lock on the way to Market Drayton. Alternative view: SJ6639 : Adderley Lock No 4 south of Audlem, Shropshire
