TL5348 : Sign of The Three Tuns

taken 14 years ago, near to Great Abington, Cambridgeshire, England

Sign of The Three Tuns
Sign of The Three Tuns
The arms are those of the Worshipful Company of Vintners, which explains why pubs are always called the "Three" Tuns rather than any other number. (The Brewers Company arms also have three). The motto is misspelt, it should be "Vinum exhilarat animum" - Wine cheers the Mind (or Heart, or Spirit, or Soul).
