Ormsgill Slag Heap
Ormsgill Slag Heap
Walking north along the coastal path near Hindpool, one can see this feature from quite a distance away. A legacy of the sand pit workings beyond it. Across the Walney Channel, the northerly spit of Walney Island-North End Haws-can be seen, and beyond that the hill at Millom and Haverig.
