Farmland near Wilton
In the foreground recently tilled land possibly contains an arable crop yet to germinate. Beyond, the fresh green colours indicate that autumn-sown crops, either cereal or oilseed rape or both, are germinating well. The area of brown just this side of the Wilton windmill looks like maize, probably serving as cover for game birds such as pheasants. The redbrick property at the extreme left in the trees is Dodsdown Farm.
