Afon Glaslyn
Afon Glaslyn
The footbridge was installed at Easter 2003 to provide pedestrians with an alternative to the former Welsh Highland Railway Bridge which used to cross the river at this point. The railway had been disused since the 1930s and the bridge had become unsafe so, as part of the restoration work now in progress it was removed ready for replacement with a new structure. The abutments for the railway bridge can be seen next to the railway bridge. The SH5947 : New WHR bridge over the Afon Glaslyn has now been installed LinkExternal link
