Gate, Acomb Fell
Gate, Acomb Fell
An old fashioned wooden gate, most gates are made of lightweight galvanised tubing now. The gate post is also quite a feature, the upright stone suggesting that sandstone or gritstone is quarried nearby, it is more usual to see stone gateposts with drystane dyking (walls) here it is in a hedge.
